Suffolk County Police Department Denies Angela Ramos’ Claim : Campaign of falsehoods culminates with another “fake news”
Instead, she lied about “an arrest of an opponent’s supporter” which was contradicted by the Suffolk County Police Department Public Information Officer when contacted by this newspaper.
Lialdia.com / Brentwood, NY (September 9, 2017) – Spanish – In an instance in which political analysts categorized as desperation, Angela Ramos’ campaign in the 9th legislative district posted fake news on her personal Facebook page. She claimed an arrest was made as a result of an alleged tampering and destruction of one of her campaign billboards found at La Placita shopping center located on Wicks Rd in northwest Brentwood.
Long Island Al Dia immediately inquired with the Suffolk County Police Department’s Public Information Office about any record of the arrest or incident. A spokeswoman categorically denied any arrest in connection with the alleged incident in a clear rebuttal to Angela Ramos’ post on Facebook.
This new incident highlights once again the false and dishonest campaign carried out by Angela Ramos and her advisors. From the onset of the campaign, Angela was criticized for aggrandizing her professional credentials. She was also criticized for lacking a truthful explanation about her abrupt resignation from her job with the Suffolk County Probation department after she allegedly falsified timesheets and charged time while she vacationed with her husband.
Additionally, Angela Ramos was asked to explain about her son’s registration in the Bay Shore school district while she was living in the Brentwood school district. In most recent days, well known Brentwood attorney and former school board member Joe Fritz, wrote an opinion editorial on our pages denouncing Angela’s change of address – calling into question if she truly resides at her new address. She moved from legislative district 16 where she had been living for over 5 years just a few days before circulating petitions to qualify as a candidate in the 9th legislative district.
On her post, Angela Ramos prominently showed pictures of video cameras at the shopping center. Knowing her husband’s detective background, why did Angela not show the video of the alleged destruction? Instead, she lied about “an arrest of an opponent’s supporter” which was contradicted by the Suffolk County Police Department Public Information Officer when contacted by this newspaper.
What a pity that a campaign that promised so much opportunity for a healthy and civic debate has been tarnished by the constant lies of Angela Ramos and her advisors. This case is yet another sign of Angela’s reluctance to debate her opponent.
